Oakland Care has announced the appointment of Iain Anderson as their new Chairman.

Iain brings over 24 years of health and social care experience to the Oakland Care Board and has been appointed to help guide the care provider as it seeks further expansion in the elderly care market.

Oakland Care operates three luxury care homes in Essex and East Sussex. Their third care home, Beechwood Grove, which is a 60-bed home in Eastbourne, opened in June.

Iain joins the Oakland Board from The National Fostering Agency (NFA) where he is currently the Chief Executive.

Harnoop Atkar, Chief Executive of Oakland Care, said:

“I am delighted to welcome Iain to the Oakland Care family.

Iain brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise to the Oakland Board, and it is clear that he shares our values and aspirations to provide the highest quality care to our residents while ensuring they continue to live happy and fulfilling lives.

“I look forward to working alongside him to further expand Oakland Care into a brand which is known across the sector for delivering exceptional person-centred care in luxurious surroundings.”

Iain Anderson, Chairman of Oakland Care said:

“I am absolutely delighted to be taking up the Chairman’s role at Oakland Care with the aim to support Harnoop and the team in creating a value for money, quality care focus for our residents.  I am joining Oakland at a hugely exciting time as we open our third luxury home in Eastbourne with further new builds planned over the coming years.”

Tim Ashlin, Healthcare Partner at Synova Capital said:

“The appointment of Iain to chair the Oakland Board comes at a crucial time as our new home openings really start to ramp-up and increase the scale of the group.  Iain’s vast experience of leading successful and high quality companies will undoubtedly be a great asset to us and I’m sure he will do a fantastic job of supporting Oakland as we continue to grow our brand and reputation”.
