Greensleeves Care homes embrace the community spirit
As all other care homes up and down the country, Greensleeves Care homes opened their doors to the public on National Care Home Open Day on Saturday 21st April.
With varied programme of events on the day, there was something for everyone at each of the 22 Greensleeves Care homes. Broadlands residential home in Oulton Broad, prepared an extra special surprise for its residents and the local community when they invited the Mighty Zulu Warriors to perform a series of dances in the grounds of the home overlooking the Norfolk Broads.
Another care home in Norfolk, De Lucy House, decided to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday on the day. As to add a touch of royalty to its celebrations they provided the residents with the crowns so that they could feel like kings and queens for the day.
The events turned out to be a big success, with the local community joining in the fun while being among friends.
