Cedar Court residential care home in Witney, Oxfordshire, is delighted to announce the appointment of Phil Chapman as its new Home Manager.
With over twenty years’ managerial experience across a range of care services, Phil joins the team at Cedar Court to lead them through the implementation of an improvement programme to take Cedar Court forward and achieve an improved rating from the CQC.
Since joining the home, which welcomes both nursing and dementia care needs for up to 63 residents, Phil has led a recruitment programme to bring in additional care staff to support existing team members. Two new activities coordinators have also been appointed who will take charge of managing the residents’ popular events programme.
Speaking of his appointment, Phil said “Cedar Court has always had a strong reputation in the local community for delivering high standards of care, where dignity is respected and people are encouraged to meet their full potential. There are steps required to improve the current rating of the home, in order to reflect the levels of care today being delivered, while also taking into account the results of a refurbishment programme that is soon to finish, following a flood in late 2017.”
Continues Phil: “I’ve joined Cedar Court to make a difference; the residents and their relatives have been very supportive of my plans and have been very welcoming, as have the wider team at Healthcare Homes. We now have a fantastic core staff who are passionate and committed to delivering the best care and I look forward to announcing updates and news from the home over the coming weeks.”
