With the Easter weekend only a few days away, tenants at Watling Court got into the spirit of spring and spent a morning decorating their very own Easter bonnets, ready for a weekend of celebrations.
The dining room was transformed into a creative studio and all of the tenants gathered together, ready to get creative using a variety of items to decorate their bonnets to their taste, including little chicks, feathers, nests, mini eggs and ribbon to name a few.
Tenants spent the morning making their bonnets and were very happy with the finished results. They wore them proudly to show them off and even decided the keep them on for a while to enjoy them. The bonnets are sitting very proudly in the dining room and will be used over the Easter weekend for the parade, when the staff will host a competition to pick out the very best bonnet!
Helen Goulding, Housing Officer at Watling Court commented: “Easter bonnet making has become something of a tradition here at Watling Court and something the tenants really look forward to.”
“It is a lovely activity for them to enjoy together and really brings out their creative side. We are very much looking forward to Easter weekend and all the fun that will come with it.”
