Staff at Gloucestershire homecare company DoCare turned up the heat on their fundraising efforts by baking cakes and holding a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team baked a range of goodies and opened the doors at their Stroud headquarters, serving teas and coffees. Their efforts netted more than £50 for the charity, which provides practical, medical and financial support for people living with cancer.
“We would like to extend a massive thank you to all who attended, donated and baked for our Macmillan coffee morning,” said DoCare director Una Mills. “A big thanks in particular to our employee services and support administrator, Danni Chandler, who organised the event.”
DoCare’s homecare services cover Bristol, Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and West Oxfordshire, supporting a mix of private clients and those referred by social services across its area.
The firm regularly support charities, including holding a Cupcake Day and selling greetings cards, both in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.
