A national live-in care provider is delighted to have received an overall ‘good’ rating following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
Promedica24’s Lancashire office was deemed to be safe, effective, caring and responsive, with live-in care workers seen to demonstrate a good understanding of how to safeguard adults and give them maximum choice and control over their lives.
As part of the process, inspectors questioned clients and their families and found that people were happy with the care they received and felt that ‘staff had the knowledge and skills to meet their needs.’
Client comments included: “They are definitely kind and always ask politely what I want” and “I am very happy, my needs are being met.”
A relative of one client, stated: “They are caring. They think a lot of my relative and treat her with respect and dignity.”
The report also noted that staff have been employed to provide care and support to people only once they have undergone a robust recruitment process. Regular supervision of their practice was observed following employment to ensure they were providing safe care and receiving managerial support at all times.
Paula Beaney, Quality Assurance Director at Promedica24, said: “We’re thrilled to receive such a fantastic CQC report that reflects the hard work and dedication of our care team.
“We believe passionately in the benefits of live-in care at Promedica24 and providing people with exceptional person centred care. We work extremely hard to ensure that we’re delivering the best care possible and I’d like to thank the team for their continued dedication and loyalty. We really are providing a much needed service to the community.”
