Would you like to be able to offer training to your staff?
If so and you’re an employer in adult social care, the Workforce Development Fund (WDF) is an excellent opportunity to claim money towards the costs of your employees completing adult social care qualifications, units, apprenticeships and learning programmes.
The fund has proved to be highly effective with 95% of employers reporting that they were providing better quality care and had more highly skilled staff as a result of accessing WDF funding. A HR manager from a residential care provider who has recently received money from the fund said “We take pride in our staff and this is demonstrated by our investment in training and WDF is a fundamental part of this.”
You too could use the money to improve the skills and qualification level of your staff and in turn improve the quality of care you provide but you must hurry as you need to apply before the fund closes on 29 March 2018.
There are two ways to access the fund depending on your location:
- you can join an employer led partnership, or
- if you’re based in the advertised local authority areas, you can access funding directly from Skills for Care.
Have a look at the full list of funded adult social care qualifications and learning programmes to see what can be claimed for.
