Tenants of Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme spent a day at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre, browsing the festive displays and finishing their Christmas shopping.
The group of tenants got into the Christmas spirit with a trip to the garden centre in Sidcup, which had been transformed into a real-life grotto, with lots of seasonal spectacles to browse.
The tenants spent some time browsing the magnificent displays and doing a spot of Christmas shopping, before heading outside to visit the reindeer. When they had shopped ‘til they dropped, they stopped for a well-deserved rest and a cup of tea and slice of cake, it is Christmas after all.
Helen Goulding, housing manager at Watling Court commented: “We always have so much going on here at Christmas time, from seasonal crafting and our annual fete and parties, to trips out for a festive lunch and watching the local panto.
“The tenants here very much look forward to Christmas as they always have lots planned with one another, it certainly makes for a lovely family festive atmosphere!”
