Residents at Connors House Residential Care Home got into the festive spirit and enjoyed an afternoon of singing and dancing!
Whilst the weather outside was frightful, the residents enjoyed a fun filled afternoon of live music that they could all sing along to! There was a variety of music from the band with their renditions of Christmas carols, popular music and of course some classic golden oldies. Some of residents even took to their very own dance floor.
John Hill, whose wife visits Connors House on Fridays for day care, manages the band and long with his compatriot’s, they very kindly offer their services for free, coming in a few times a year to liven up the lounge! The residents really look forward to the band coming and always give them a very warm reception.
Christine Devlin, home manager of Connors House commented, “We really appreciate John and his band giving up their time to spend an afternoon with us. It brings a lot of smiles and some of the songs are still being sung days after!”
“Staff and visitors also enjoyed the music and it was lovely for them to see the residents having such a lovely time and really enjoy some quality time together.”
