With Christmas fast approaching, The Hamptons Care Centre in Lytham St Annes started the season of good will in style, by donating the headline prize for the Mayor’s charity Christmas raffle.

Open for just over four months, the ‘new generation’ care facility, in partnership with Airwave, the company that supplied and installed the Samsung screens at The Hamptons, generously donated a 49 inch Samsung Smart LED TV, worth more than £500.

Lorraine Disley, home manager at The Hamptons, comments: “We were delighted to help the Mayor with the Christmas raffle and jumped at the chance to provide the headline prize in partnership with Airwave. It is so important to support the local community and we hope the Christmas raffle is a tremendous success and that lots of money is raised for charity.”

Overwhelmed by the incredible prize, the Mayor and Mayoress will use the TV as a silent auction prize at the Mayor Ball instead, which takes place in March 2018.

The Mayor of Fylde, Councillor John Singleton, says: “We were stunned at the sheer size of the TV and want to use it in the silent auction at the Ball next year instead as it will raise a substantial amount of money for the Mayoral charities. The generosity of New Care has left us speechless.”

Tickets for the Mayor’s Christmas raffle are available to buy now, with all proceeds going to the three Mayoral charities, which include St Lukes Church Stained Glass Window Appeal, RNLI Lytham St Annes Shannon Appeal and the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment.

The draw will take place on Tuesday 19th December at 12noon in the Town Hall.

The Hamptons, located off Heyhouses Lane (behind Booths) is a stunning state-of-the-art 76 bed care facility offering residential, nursing and specialist dementia care services.

Operated by New Care, a rapidly expanding development-led care home operator, The Hamptons is expertly designed and provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care
