Barbara and Bill Fox, both residents at Sunrise of Edgbaston on Church Road, were joined by friends, family, residents and the team to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary in style this month – with a surprise Tea Dance.
Marking the special occasion, the couple were surprised with a delicious cake made by the dining team, and free-flowing sparkling wine for all to enjoy. Guests were eager to join in with the celebrations, dancing to the music.
Barbara and Bill were presented with a personalised book signed by residents and the team at Sunrise of Edgbaston, full of lasting memories and messages for the Fox’s to treasure.
The afternoon was a chance for the pair to share some stories about their romance and their 65 years together. For Barbara and Bill, it was love at first sight when they first met at a university ball. They have led an exciting and fulfilled life together over their 65 years, which has included living in Paris for some time as part of Bill’s job, and Barbara later pursuing a career as a probation officer.
Barbara and Bill continue to lead happy and fulfilling lives at Sunrise of Edgbaston, where they enjoy spending all their time together.
Kelsey Green, Activities Co-ordinator, Sunrise of Edgbaston, said:
