Aura Care Living was awarded second place in the estate agent’s, Knight Frank’s, prestigious Luxury Care Home Awards for this year.
The Gloucestershire based company, which is in its infancy has only just opened its first care home in May of this year and collected the award at a glittering dinner in London.
Kings Lodge is situated in Camberley, Surrey. It consists of 64 individually-designed rooms, beautifully furnished to accommodate people who require different types of care including residential, residential dementia and respite care.
The large, super-stylish building is tucked away at the end of its own drive and also offers the amenities of a bar, cinema, retreat SPA room, its own on-site hair salon and various different lounges. Kings Lodge is set in 15 acres of woodland, which is open for residents and their families to explore.
Kings Lodge is undoubtedly the first of its kind and is the first from the luxury retirement specialists – Aura Care Living, which is also building a large retirement village and care home in the Cotswold town of Cirencester with the help of the investment group – Octopus Healthcare, Aura’s fund managers.
Marketing Director of Aura Care Living, Peter Lloyd, was delighted with the award and said: “We are only really in our first year, so recognition like this at such an early stage means the world to us. We are incredibly proud of Kings Lodge and what we have created for our Residents.
Kings Lodge has pledges, pillars and promises that we make to both our residents and to our staff. We understand that happy, well-trained and skilled staff deliver better care and make for a much more conducive environment. Without doubt, Residents that are empowered to make more decisions about their own life, the place they live and how their Care Home is run will have a much more positive experience,” he added.
