With a break in the rain, residents of Dene Holm Residential Care Home in Northfleet enjoyed a garden party this weekend, complete with entertainment.
With the wintry weather holding off just long enough for staff to dig out the deckchairs, residents of the Northfleet care home were treated to an afternoon of fun in the sun, in the form of a garden party.
Joined by a singer, who performed a variety of songs from their past, the residents gathered on the decking, ready for an afternoon of nostalgia and soaking up the sun.
The residents relaxed and enjoyed a tipple or two, whilst watching the singer and hearing the songs of their youth. Some of the residents enjoyed singing along, whilst others decided to get up and dance!
Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm commented: “We were very lucky that the sun shone throughout the garden party, particularly when you consider the rain we have had in the past couple of weeks!
“There was a lovely atmosphere throughout the afternoon and the residents all said they had a great afternoon, singing and dancing and relaxing in general!”
