Residents of Dene Holm Residential Care Home took their annual trip to Herne Bay to watch the eagerly anticipated airshow.
Accompanied by staff and joined by thousands of other excited spectators, residents of the Dene Holm Road care home made their way to Herne Bay last week to watch the town’s annual celebrated air show.
Armed with a tasty picnic and flasks of tea and coffee, the aviation fans picked out a spot along the seafront, ready to settle down and enjoy the spectacular show. Thankfully, the weather remained warm and sunny throughout the afternoon, so the residents could soak up the sun and even enjoy an ice cream during the break in performances.
Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm commented: “Our residents visit Herne Bay each year to watch the airshow, many of them love planes and those that have been with us for several years really look forward to the event, it’s now a key part of their calendar!
“They all had a lovely afternoon and are now looking forward to their next day trip.”
