As the Great British Summer paused for a spot of torrential rain, residents of Dene Holm Residential Home were treated to an indulgent afternoon of pampering.
Is there a better way to spend a rainy summer afternoon than relaxing in your slippers, sipping tea and being pampered by those around you? Residents of the Dene Holm Road residential care home don’t seem to think so and we hasten to agree!
As the summer was seemingly on pause, residents gathered in the lounge to relax and unwind, whilst staff provided peaceful and therapeutic manicures and hand massages.
Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm commented: “Our residents certainly enjoy a spot of pampering every now and then and why shouldn’t they? Just the same as we like to have manicured hands and feel good in ourselves, so do they.
“Here at Dene Holm, we appreciate that it’s often the little things in life, such as having our nails painted our favourite colour, matching our tie to our socks or a colour coordinating outfit, that can make all the difference to how we feel for the day ahead.”
