With the weather cooling ever so slightly, residents of Dene Holm Residential Care Home enjoyed a summer day out at Mote Park in Maidstone.
Accompanied by activity staff and carers of the home, residents of the Dene Holm Road residential care home spent a sunny day meandering around the picturesque award-winning park, soaking up the summer sun and relaxing with one another .
The group of residents and staff took their time, strolling the park’s many paths and taking in the beautiful meadows of poppies, winding rivers as well as the sprawling lake.
After their stroll, the residents had built up quite an appetite so found themselves a picnic bench where they could put their feet up, tuck into their packed lunch and watch the world go by.
Chris Hutchinson, home manager of Dene Holm commented: “During the summer months, the residents like to get out and about a lot more so we try to arrange a variety of trips, whether it’s a day at the park, a trip to the coast or an afternoon at the shops.
“The residents had a great day at the park, the majority of them had not visited before so they really enjoyed exploring a new place. They are already excited about their next outing!
