Meadow House Nursing Home, located in Swaffham, Norfolk, hosted its successful summer fete this month and raised over £1,700 for the resident’s comfort fund; a record sum compared to previous years’ events.
The home, which is rated ‘outstanding’ by the CQC, were delighted to welcome friends, family and members of the local Swaffham community in to its home to enjoy a traditional fete. The afternoon included a Tombola, cake stalls, a raffle, a delicious BBQ, traditional games, Bric-a-Brac stalls, a plant sale and live musical entertainment.
Confirms Belinda Jones, activities coordinator at Meadow House Nursing Home: “In a little over two hours, we were able to raise over £1,700 for our resident’s comfort fund, which is just fantastic. We would like to extend our thanks to everyone who joined us at the fete and made the afternoon go with a swing. The weather was kind to us and everyone was in good spirits.
“The money raised will go towards outings, events, parties and treats – all the things that make life more enjoyable and which our residents truly deserve. We are so grateful to everyone who joined in and supported our fabulous event, as well as to the many volunteers who made everything come together.”
