With easy links to Halifax and Huddersfield, Rastrick Hall & Grange is a modern home specialising in the care of older people, with the Hall providing 24-hour residential care for 40 residents, and the Grange providing additional dementia care to 39 residents.
Representatives from CQC undertook unannounced visits to the home on 10 and 11 May 2017, and the report has rated the home overall good for being safe, caring, well-led and responsive.
It was remarked how clean, comfortable and well-groomed the residents were, and how clean and well-maintained the home is. Relatives praised the staff and described them as being kind, caring and considerate.
Ratings are given based on observations of the home by the unannounced CQC team, and on conversations with staff, residents and their relatives. The report is part of CQC’s programme of inspections.
