CMG Celebrates Annual Achievement Awards

Care Management Group (CMG) has hosted its special Annual Achievement Award ceremony which aims to champion the success of some of their most inspirational service-users.

The ceremony, which took place at Imber Court Sports and Social Club in East Molesey, was a celebration of some of the most remarkable stories which have emerged from CMG’s services across the country.

46 of CMG’s service users, who have benefited from the group’s residential care, supported living services and domiciliary care, were crowned as award winners, recognising their outstanding achievements in overcoming their learning difficulties to succeed.

One winner was applauded for battling past their behavioural challenges to excel at a mainstream college, surpassing all expectations in their maths performance, and joining classmates in literacy, art and drama sessions.

Another winner, who has autism, participated in training with CMG and as a result, presented to a conference of approximately 350 teaching professionals over a two-day period at the end of last year.

After each award was presented, the winners took to the microphone to thank CMG staff for their influential contributions. Watching on were their families and the CMG team, who joined winners in feasting upon a delicious three course meal.

CMG’s position as a leading provider of specialist care services is well-established, given that 95 percent of its services are rated either ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’, a figure which is well above the national average.

CMG is also celebrating after the Alderwood service, Cransley, was recognised as Outstanding by CQC, making the organisation the only major leading disability provider in England to have achieved 5 ‘Outstanding’ rated services.

Peter Kinsey, Chief Executive of Care Management Group, said:

“Our Annual Achievement Awards ceremony was a fantastic evening of celebration and recognition, and we can all take great inspiration from the many success stories that have emerged from our support to those with learning disabilities.

“All of the award-winners provide wonderful examples of never giving up, and continually striving to realise their passions and interests. We are immensely proud of the work we have done over the last year, and are already excited about next year’s ceremony.”
