Residents at Meadow House Nursing Home in Swaffham, Norfolk, were treated to a surprise visit on Valentine’s Day when the Swaffham Men’s Rugby Club arrived to present gift to the residents.
The members of the team arrived at the home and each brought red roses for residents, as well as the staff. The team stayed for a good while into the evening chatting and sharing their kindness and gifts with residents. In keeping with the charm of the occasion, they even performed a song for the ladies in the main lounge.
Maria Seitan, Manager at Meadow House commented: “They say that sharing is caring and we want to thank the team from the bottom of our hearts for visiting us on this special day to share their time with everyone here at the home.”
At the end of their visit the rugby club promised to return. “We are very much looking forward to having them back here at Meadow House” continued Maria. “The smiles on our residents’ faces really said it all! It was a lovely visit and we would like to thank our activities coordinator, Belinda, for making the visit happen.”
