Representatives from CQC undertook an unannounced visit to the home on 23 and 25 January 2017, and the report has come through rating the home good for being safe, effective, caring, and a responsive and well-led service.
The home provides residential care for up to 76 older people, some of whom are living with dementia.
The report was particularly positive across many areas, including the strong relationship between staff and residents, the home’s good organisation and well-documented records and the positive environment in the home. Particular note was given to the broad programme of activities and their vibrant displays throughout the home.
Ratings are given based on observations of the home by the unannounced CQC team, and on conversations with staff, residents and their relatives. The report is part of CQC’s programme of inspections, with all adult social care services being given a rating.
