The spirit of spring was in the air at Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme last week, when tenants got together to enjoy a spot of seasonal crafting.
Whilst sipping cups of tea and nattering with one another, the group of keen creators got stuck into making their own personalised Easter bonnets. Using a variety of materials, including ribbon, feathers, crepe paper, mini chicks and mini bunnies, the tenants were really able to be imaginative and resourceful in making their bonnets.
The tenant’s finished bonnets will be judged over the Easter weekend, with the tenant who is deemed to have created the most inspiring bonnet winning a prize.
Helen Goulding, Scheme Manager of Watling Court commented: “Our craft club is really popular with our tenants here at Watling Court, they love nothing more than to get together over a cup of tea and get stuck into making something great.
“The tenants really enjoyed making their bonnets to their own personal taste and are looking forward to finding out who the winner is at Easter!”
