Belvoir Vale Care Home had a fantastic time taking some of the residents to see Aladdin at Nottingham Playhouse on the 18th January 2017. Seven of Belvoir Vale’s residents, were accompanied by staff members and had a wonderful time; enjoying the colours, laughter and songs, that the cast and crew provided on this special performance.

Our residents were lucky enough to meet some of the cast members and have their photo taken with them, to enjoy this moment for many years to come. The staff at Nottingham Playhouse were extremely friendly, helpful and made sure that our residents had the best time possible and we could not thank them enough for their time and patience. The residents are still buzzing from the excitement of the show, many of whom, have not seen a show for a long time.

Belvoir Vale Care Home is a, unique mini care complex sited over 3 buildings, offering residential care in Granby Lodge and The Gate House and residential dementia care in Rutland House. The home features beautiful internal courtyards and a sensory garden, the home is an idyllic place to live.

Belvoir Vale Care Home has recently created a Memories Café, Jean’s Sweet Shop and a garden room for those rainy days. The café and its accompanying rooms will be also open to the public alternate weeks, on a Thursday, for those needing a break or change whilst caring for someone with dementia. Memories Café is the brainchild of Jo Widdowson, Care Home Manager, who wanted to create a secure and beautiful environment where people could relax and enjoy coffee and cakes in a safe and risk-free environment. Jo is hoping the residents and families utilise the café every day and get pleasure out of it.
