Christmas spirit was in the air at Barnes Lodge last week, when residents of the home were treated to an afternoon of carol singing by pupils of a nearby school.
The Weald of Kent Grammar School Choir took the short trip down the road to visit the new care home, meet the residents and provide them with an enjoyable afternoon of Christmas Carols.
Accompanied by their choirmaster, the group of girls sung a variety of beautiful and festive carols for the residents, before spending some time chatting and getting to know them.
Nicola Newman, activity coordinator at Barnes Lodge commented: “We were delighted that some of the pupils from the Weald of Kent Grammar School could come along to see our new home and sing for our residents.
“They sang absolutely beautifully and the residents thoroughly enjoyed listening to them and chatting afterwards. We are all hoping they will come and visit again soon.”
