Tiago Pinto, Clinical Psychologist and Head of Therapies at Tracscare’s Milton Park Campus in Bedford, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Outstanding Healthcare Professional Award at the 2017 Autism Professional Awards.
The new award recognises a healthcare professional who has made an exceptional contribution to the lives of autistic people.
Tiago’s role sees him delivering the highest quality therapeutic care for the people supported at Milton Park. This includes occupational, speech and psychological therapies. As Head of Therapies, he is responsible for ensuring staff are up-to-date with the latest developments in the Learning Disability and autism research sector.
Tiago is an internationally recognised trainer for both ADOS-2 and ADI-R, assessment tools for accurately diagnosing the presence of an Autism Spectrum Condition in a child, adolescent or adult. He will be sharing his expertise at forthcoming training courses at Milton Park in March, April and June, which can be booked through the Brookdale website or by calling 01480 470047.
The Autism Professionals Awards, organised by leading national charity the National Autistic Society, seek to acknowledge the outstanding contribution of professionals who lead the way in innovative autism practice and make a positive difference to the lives of autistic people in the UK.
The winners will be announced on 7th March 2017, at a prestigious Awards Dinner held on the first night of the National Autistic Society’s Professional Conference in Harrogate International Centre, Royal Hall.
