With the snow falling and storms on their way, residents of Dene Holm in Northfleet spent a cosy morning enjoying some creative crafting on Thursday 12th January.

Residents of the Dene Holm Road care home certainly are keen on their crafts, as they have recently committed to attempting to break a knitting related world record but yesterday morning, the residents got involved with a different kind of crafting.

The group of imaginative residents gathered in the upstairs dining room to embrace their inner artists and get creative, whilst enjoying a cup of tea and listening to music,

Whilst some of the residents created collages using a variety of textured items, others tried their hand at a spot of painting, as they nattered away with one another.

Elaine Wills, activity coordinator at Dene Holm commented: “The residents are really into their crafts here at Dene Holm, we do lots including painting, collages and knitting.

“We even recently decided to take on a challenge to knit the world’s biggest blanket from a care home. We think it will take us about a year to complete but we’re very excited!”
