Christmas came early for residents at Crossways, the Croftwood Care-run residential care home in Cheshire, as they enjoyed a festive-themed visit and carol concert from a local Scout group.
During their visit to the home, the Scouts sang a variety of Christmas carols before sitting down to have a chat with residents about their plans for the holiday season. Much to the residents’ delight, the Scouts also presented them with Christmas cards, presents, and special bunting for residents to deck the halls with.
Kelly Egerton, Home Manager at Crossways, commented: “The residents really enjoyed listening to the Scouts sing and chatting with them about their plans for Christmas. Everyone was delighted with the cards and gifts that they received and couldn’t stop talking about the visit for days after.
“It’s heartwarming to see members of the local community give up their time for the happiness of our residents in the run up to Christmas. We always welcome visits from local groups and organisations, and we’d like to give a big thank you to the Scouts for spending a such lovely evening with us.”
