One of the UK’s largest not-for-profit care home providers has appointed a new Care & Quality Director to join its Executive Team.
With over 30 years’ experience working in the healthcare sector within both the NHS and voluntary sector, Jo Blackburn has successfully developed and implemented plans aimed at influencing organisational strategy and promoting partnership working across the statutory and voluntary sector as part of End Of Life Care working with the Clinical Commissioning Group in Warwickshire and Coventry. In addition, she has led on the creation and growth of a Practice Development Team as a director with Help The Hospices.
Prior to starting with OSJCT, Jo’s most recent role was as Chief Executive and Company Secretary for a hospice that provided in-patient, community and hospital services. As part of this role, she provided strategic leadership and operational management of the hospice.
In her new position with OSJCT, Jo will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for care services, education and dementia that are aligned to the current Trust strategy and its future aspirations.
Commenting on her new role, Jo said: “I’m very excited to start this new chapter of my career with OSJCT – one of the country’s very best not-for-profit care providers.
“I know the role will prove challenging, but I’m confident that my past roles and experiences within the healthcare sector will help me thrive in developing and operating a comprehensive quality improvement programme across the Trust.”
