Gravesend extra care tenants get into spirit of Christmas

sandra-decorates-a-tree-in-receptionChristmas spirit was in the air at Watling Court this week, when tenants got together to decorate their home for the season and indulge in some festive fun.

With Christmas carols playing in the background and plenty of delicious festive treats on offer, tenants of the Ifield Way extra care housing scheme got together this week, to deck the halls and prepare their home for the upcoming festivities.

Whilst indulging in mince pies and warming up with some scrumptious mulled wine, the group of tenants adorned the corridors and helped one another to decorate the scheme’s several trees, whilst chatting about the fast-approaching holiday season, their plans for the big day and what they enjoy most about Christmas.

Helen Goulding, scheme manager of Watling Court said: “Christmas is a big celebration for all of us here at Watling Court, we always have lots going on from festive crafting and watching the local pantomime, to our famous annual parties and fetes.

“The tenants are always really excited to get involved with the planning and management of these events and activities, which is great as it really brings everyone together and boosts our community atmosphere.”
