Gravesend extra care tenants get crafty for Christmas

tenants-enjoy-a-spot-of-craftingWith Christmas quickly approaching, tenants of Watling Court Extra Care Housing Scheme decided to turn their hand to some festive crafting.

It may only be November, with Halloween and Bonfire Night barely over, but tenants at Watling Court have been embracing the upcoming festivities by injecting a bit of festive fun into their weekly craft sessions.

The group of creative tenants gathered in the activity room at the Ifield Way extra care housing scheme, ready for a morning of Christmas crafting, to prepare for their upcoming festive fete.

Whilst sipping cups of tea and having a natter, the tenants got stuck in, making snowman decorations and jars of goodies, which they will sell at the scheme’s Christmas Fete in December.

sandra-gets-stuck-inHelen Goulding, Scheme Manager of Watling Court commented: “Christmas starts early here at Watling Court, we have lots of celebrations throughout December so we like to start our planning early!

“The tenants love to get involved with the preparation, whether that’s making decorations and gifts ahead of the fete, or helping to man a stall on at the event.”
