Gracewell of Camberley is celebrating settling its last resident into a brand-new building in Camberley, after the transfer project was successfully completed on Friday. Residents were transferred to the new building after investment in new facilities to replace the older site built in the 1950s.
The new building offers all residents more spacious rooms with ensuites, more communal areas in which residents can spend time with each other and participate in a range of exciting activities, and a dedicated hair salon and cinema.
Staff members at the home ensured that residents were comfortable and had time to settle into the new premises. The last resident was successfully moved into their new home at 1.45pm on Friday afternoon, and staff and residents are now looking forward to celebrating the Grand Opening with residents’ family members just in time for the Christmas season.
Jeorgia Spalding, Home Admissions Advisor at Gracewell of Camberley, said:
“We are so pleased to have completed the move into our exciting new premises after all the hard work from everyone involved. Thank you to the team here who helped settle residents safely into the new surroundings.
“The new building is not far from our original location, but it is a huge upgrade, and we can’t wait to familiarise ourselves with its perks!”
