VIP guests, Gracewell of Camberley residents and the Mayor of Rushmoor, Councillor Jacqui Vosper, were greeted on arrival with a red carpet lined with Santa on his sleigh and a reindeer by his side.
The Camberley team served delicious canapés in ice sculptures, alongside glasses of wine and flutes of champagne to cheers in celebration of the eagerly awaited opening of the new building. Henry Hemmings, who broke ground for the new building last year and has recently moved in to the new home, was in charge of the prestigious ribbon cutting to officially mark the grand opening.
The Gracewell sales team donned their Christmas fancy dress outfits specially for the event, and gave a tour of the purpose built luxury care home to guests. Students from Hawley Place School also provided a special performance, singing some Christmas classics to get into the festive spirit.
Speeches were given by Gracewell’s Senior Director of Operations, Michael Burke, Director of Operations Libby Barrett, and Home Manager at Gracewell of Camberley, Melanie Jacobs. Mayor Vosper then gave a speech, commenting on how happy she was to welcome such a beautiful care home to the local area.
The guests were given jars of home-made local honey to take home with them, and all the residents have now moved into Gracewell of Camberley – perfectly in time for Christmas.
Libby Barrett, Director of Operations for Gracewell Healthcare, said:
“The opening of Gracewell of Camberley is an incredibly exciting time for us all and one that is incredibly close to my heart. We are very proud of the high-quality care that we deliver and we look forward to continuing our success in the new home.”
Home Manager at Gracewell of Camberley, Melanie Jacobs, said:
“We are thrilled that Gracewell of Camberley has now opened its doors to residents, family and the local community. “The team have been so dedicated to ensuring that the new home exceeds all expectations and that all residents moved from the existing home did so safely. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the home’s continued success.”
