Shropshire carers go the extra muddy mile for residents comfort fund

cc3Two carers from a Whitchurch home have raised nearly £300 in aid of the residents they look after completing a mud run.

Zoe Evans and Zara Rowe, who work at Coverage Care’s Greenfields home, took part in the 10k race around to collect the money that will go to the residents’ comfort fund.

The course involved woodland trails, steps, hills, caves, ponds, and lots of mud

and water.

Zoe said: “It was a great event to take part in and lived up to expectations in terms of the amount of mud and water involved.

cc2Knowing we were raising funds for a good cause spurred us on and the residents are now deciding how they want to spend the money.”

Coverage Care Chief Executive David Coull said: “Zoe and Zara really did go the extra mile for the residents they care for. Everyone at Greenfields and Coverage Care is very proud of them for completing such a challenging race.”
