Manchester care home celebrates 10th birthday in style

cic0057-mediumPemberton Fold Care Home in Little Hulton, Manchester, celebrated their 10th birthday party in style with a glitzy party complete with ballroom dancing, Michael Bublé tribute act and firework display.

Pemberton Fold supports older people, including people who live with dementia. It is part of national health and social care charity, Community Integrated Care

The staff at Pemberton transformed the home into a glamourous ballroom for the special occasion, decorating it with huge glitter balls, black and white balloons and mood lighting along with a red carpet entrance.

The Michael Bublé tribute act serenaded guests, which included people supported at Pemberton, their family, friends and members of staff. A local ballroom dance group then took to the floor, later inviting guests to join them.

The birthday celebrations finished with a firework display, organised by local pyrotechnician Chris Rotherham, whose grandmother had lived at Pemberton Fold.

cic0192-mediumJulie Lindsay, Assistant Service Manager of Pemberton Fold, said: “We had such a wonderful evening celebrating our 10th birthday. Over the past 10 years, our home has become a really important part of the community and we were delighted that so many people came along to celebrate with us.

Julie continues: “The people we support thoroughly enjoyed the live entertainment, especially the ballroom dancing. Dancing holds some really fond memories for them and we couldn’t get them off the dance floor!”
