Windsar Care Ltd has completed the acquisition of a former care home in Slough to refurbish and open as a newly developed home providing nursing care for elderly clients. Funding to support the purchase of the care home has been provided by the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Burnham House has been closed since July 2016 but Windsar Care Ltd identified the potential and has acquired the home. It has 75 beds, all single and with en-suite toilet and basins. The home will operate as WINDSOR CARE CENTRE and will bring up to 80 new jobs to the local area.
Windsar Care Ltd was established in 2009 and is run by highly experienced healthcare professionals; Dr Hemantha Kumar MBE and Dr Pradeep Anand. They have an existing home Salt Hill Care Centre which is situated very near to Burnham House. Plans to redecorate and refurbish the home are underway and are due to complete by December 2016.
Dr Hemantha Kumar MBE, Director Windsar Care said: “Pradeep and I are so pleased to complete the acquisition of Burnham House. Its proximity to our existing home Salt Hill Care Centre is excellent because it means we can offer increased capacity for elderly residents who are seeking the high standards of care we offer. Demand is very high in the local area currently and we are very excited to open the new home and welcome new residents. The bank has been very helpful throughout this process and worked to a very tight completion timescale for which we are grateful for.”
Andrew Marsh, Relationship Director, Healthcare at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Windsar Care Ltd is an impressive operator and we are delighted to support them with the growth of their business and the acquisition of Burnham House. Pradeep and Hemantha both have an excellent reputation locally and I am sure they will make a great success with the opening of their new home.”
