Eileen Haysham, who delivers care and support to people living in their own homes in the Bridgwater area, was one of a number of long-serving staff who were recognised at an event last month.

The event was held at Somerset Care’s Sedgemoor Community Services office on Bath Road and recognised staff from the team who had achieved long service ranging from 5 to 50 years. Alongside Eileen, colleagues Gwen Buller achieved 40 years service and Wendy Turner achieved 35 years, with the combined service total for staff reaching an amazing 255 years.

Somerset Care Group Chairman, Chris Davies, spoke at the event, thanking the staff for their hard work on behalf of the Company and the customers they support. Everyone was invited to mingle and enjoy party food after the presentations were made.

Business Manager, Deborah Munton, said “It was a fantastic event to celebrate the long service of our team. We were delighted to be joined by Eileen’s daughters who turned up to surprise their mum. I’m incredibly proud to be part of a team that have such dedication and commitment to the customers they support.”
