Pendlebury Care Homes Ltd has announced its third care home in the group, Regency Hall, has opened its doors in Hadfield, Derbyshire, offering specialist care and support for up to 68 people with dementia or frailty.

Six-figure funding has been provided by Royal Bank of Scotland to support this latest acquisition.

Previously a nursing home in the village of Hadfield, Regency Hall has been beautifully transformed into a modern, luxurious and comfortable environment. Particular attention and consideration has been paid to the layout, colour schemes, orientation, furnishings and use of space which are all important factors for the needs of the residents.

Since the year 2000, Pendlebury Care Homes Ltd has operated Lyme Green Hall in Macclesfield, Cheshire, and Pendlebury Court in Glossop, making Regency Hall the second home to open in the High Peak.

Combined, the group employ 127 members of staff across all three homes, 60 new positions have been created at Regency Hall including roles such as Home Manager, care assistants, chef, maintenance and domestics.

Christopher Morse, Managing Director of Pendlebury Care Homes Ltd, explains: “The Home was closed down two years ago and we are proud to bring this beautiful period building back to life with outstanding facilities and high standards of care.

The local community have enthusiastically welcomed the restoration of Regency Hall and its retention as a care facility.  This is underscored by the fact that two thirds of the bed spaces have already been reserved prior to the re-opening.

As you step through the door, you can expect a warm welcome from our caring and professional team, who are on hand 24 hours a day.

Lorraine Riley, Director of Operations, has led the recruitment process and has ensured that we have employed the right calibre of management and staff to replicate the high standards of care we provide across the group.

Holly Smedley has been newly appointed as Registered Manager of Regency Hall, following her successful launch of a new luxury residential care facility with another provider.  Holly brings to Regency Hall her high standards, personal integrity and a real passion for improving the lives of our residents.

“Thanks to Royal Bank of Scotland funding we are able to provide specialised dementia and general care in Glossop to ensure many families have the peace of mind that their loved ones are enjoying life in a safe, caring and comfortable environment.”

Adrian Taylor, Healthcare Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “We are helping a number of care home operators grow through acquisition and Pendlebury Care Homes is testament to how our sector knowledge and investment is adding real value. I wish Christopher, Lorraine, Holly and the team at Regency Hall all the very best of luck as they welcome their new residents.”
