Residents of Rogers House Care Home in Wigmore made the most of the early autumn sunshine and took a day trip to Minster in Ramsgate, to spend a day at the coast.
Residents of the Drewery Drive care home didn’t let the fresh autumn chill put them off enjoying a day out, as they put on their coats and scarves and headed off on the minibus, for a day in Minster.
The group of residents enjoyed a stroll around the town before heading to the nearby seafront, to sit and relax and take in the fresh sea air. After building up an appetite from rambling around, the residents warmed up with a drink and some lunch in a nearby pub.
Roxy Shah, activity coordinator at Rogers House, who accompanied residents on the day trip, commented: “The residents had an excellent day at Minster, the Kent coast brings back a lot of memories for many of them, so it’s always an enjoyable day when we visit the seaside.
“At Rogers House, we aim to provide a variety of activities for our residents, including regular days out to the surrounding areas. We recently visited Broadstairs and Faversham and have been invited to Rainham School for coffee mornings a number of times.”
