A couple that has called Rhyl home for decades has celebrated a joyous 65 years of marriage.
Jim and Joan Nolan were all smiles when celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on the 19th October at Canterbury House care home in Rhyl.
The happy couple marked the occasion with a romantic dinner for two at Canterbury House care home, where Jim currently resides, and Jim bought Joan a beautiful bouquet of flowers to celebrate the occasion.
The pair, originally from Liverpool, met as youngsters. They were introduced a family friend.
They went on to have three children, ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Despite being born and raised in Liverpool, it is Rhyl the couple have called home for decades, with all their children being born and raised in the town.
Louise Town, Activities Coordinator at Canterbury House care home, commented:
“It was lovely to join in with Jim and Joan’s celebrations. Their love is a true inspiration to us all.”
Jim and Joan Nolan both said:
“It was a lovely anniversary.”
