Danshell Healthcare Group has appointed Helen Davidson as manager at its Thors Park hospital in Thorrington, Essex.
Thors Park is an independent hospital that provides support for 14 men living with a learning disability. The hospital was recently rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission.
A qualified learning disability nurse and experienced manager, Helen has worked in service development and operations across the adult social care sector for many years. Helen joins Danshell from another care provider having spent five years in a service development role, gaining experience assessing new admissions across the company and facilitating care pathways for service users.
Helen Davidson said: “I am pleased to be joining Danshell, a care provider with a similar ethos to my own. Service users are supported to have positive outcomes and to lead as independent and fulfilling lives as possible, including rehabilitation back into the community.
“I have previously managed services in the London and Colchester areas and am delighted to be working in my home area, supporting people from my local community.
“Danshell is a very supportive company, with good progression prospects and I am looking forward to getting to know colleagues and service users, and building on the already excellent care and support Thors Park offers.”
Melinda Glover, Director of Operations for Danshell in the South East, said: “The best care providers employ the best people and Helen is an excellent manager with the skills and experience to lead Thors Park.
“I am looking forward to working with Helen and she will be a great addition to the company and the hospital.”
