On the 30th of September, Ferrars Hall Care Home will host a Macmillian Coffee Morning, and wish to invite all the local community along on the day. The nationwide event has one simple aim; they want people to get together with family, friends or colleagues over coffee and cake, to raise money for people affected by cancer.
Ferrars Hall Care Home, located on Ferrars Road directly behind the Police Station, will open its doors to the local community at 10am until 12am, and hopes local people will come along. Ferrars Hall will also be providing cakes, coffee and tea for all guests.
Macmilian Cancer Support raised a record breaking £25 million in 2014, and this year Macmillan are hoping to raise even more! They estimate that over 220,000 people across the UK will register to hold a coffee morning, with over 6 million cups of coffee and 12 million slices of cake due to be consumed.
