Garden party huge success for Bolton care home

20160821_150026A GARDEN party at a Bolton care home was attended by over 100 residents, family members and friends.

 

Among the visitors at Lever Edge Care Home was Bolton Mayor Cllr Lynda Byrne, who officially unveiled a memorial bench to passed resident Norah Roberts.

 

The bench was donated to the home by Norah’s family.

 

The Bolton School of Performing Arts provided a live show for the annual event.

 

A tombola, bric-a-brac sale, raffle, cake stall, cake decorating, face painting, lucky dip and carnival games such as Play Your Cards Rights also kept guests entertained.

 

IMG-20160822-WA0002Beverley Taylor, home manager at Lever Edge Care Home, said: “We’d like to thank everyone for attending our annual garden party – especially Mayor Cllr Byrne.

 

“We had a wonderful turnout – partly helped by the amazing, sunny weather we enjoyed. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the day and we’re already looking forward to next year.”
