The Boro’s National Citizenship Service (NCS) group – all aged between 15 and 17 years old – chose Mandale House Care Home for their Social Action Project.

The group spent five days at the Thornaby home with the elderly residents – playing music, baking, watching movies and putting on bingo games, among other activities.

The project – titled Five Days of Fun – also involved a raffle for the local community.

Liz Jones, Customers Relations Officer at Hill Care, which operates Mandale House Care Home, said: “We have a great relationship with the Middlesbrough FC NCS group, as they visit several of our Teesside homes throughout the year.

“We’re delighted they chose Mandale House for their Social Action Project, which aims to transform the lives of others in their local community.”
