Marathon success for supported living service user


Michael Taylor, Cheshire Supported LivingA Manchester resident, Michael Taylor, is proving that no challenge is too tough, as he tackles head on the task of wheelchair racing.


Michael, who is 28, is passionate about wheelchair racing. This has led him to be a keen participant in middle distance circuits. Michael was thrilled to have successfully completed the 5K Great Manchester Run course earlier this year.


An avid member of the Stockport Harriers and Athletics Club, Michael competes in lots of races throughout the year, and is as an inspiration to his fellow residents and members of staff at Supported Living Cheshire.


Service Manager, Helen Swindail, commented:


“Michael’s enthusiasm is truly inspiring, and we are delighted to be able to support him to reach his goals and ambitions. We look forward to continuing to cheer him on as he continues to compete!”


Supported Living Cheshire and Midlands if a part of Embrace Group, and offers supported living services for adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems, complex needs, challenging behaviour and physical disabilities.
