Glasgow care home report shows hard work and dedication shown by the staff is shining through

Entrance mid sizeRowandale Nursing Home in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow recently had an unannounced inspection by the Care Inspectorate and were delighted with the resulting report.

The nursing home which unusually is a converted church, has been owned and operated by Forth Care Limited since December 2013. Since then it has been transformed both internally, following a six-figure refurbishment programme, and operationally with Care Inspectorate grades improving steadily with each inspection. The latest inspection completed on 3rd August saw the care home awarded 5’s for Care & Support, Quality of Management and Quality of Staffing and 4 for Environment.

Manager John Park is delighted that the hard work and dedication shown by the staff is shining through. The care home is currently full and families of residents have made some very positive statements in support of the care at Rowandale.

Another indicator of the success at Rowandale is the number of long serving members of staff there. Around half of the staff have been at Rowandale since before Forth Care Ltd took over the care home. In recognition of their continued support they were awarded Long Service Awards in December last year. Rowandale looks forward to continuing the high standards of care now established long into the future.
