Successful owners take on second Oxfordshire care home

IMG_7598Churchfields Care Home in Cassington, Oxfordshire, is set to see a number of positive changes, as the new owners set their plans for the home into motion.

Churchfields Care Home was taken over by Jane and Gerry Roberts in March, who also own Rosebank Care Home in Bampton, Oxfordshire.

Starting with residents’ sitting rooms and dining areas, significant investment in the home will see internal and external decoration works transform it into a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment.

The transformation will also see recently introduced lifestyle support co-ordinators work closely with staff and residents to develop a timetable of fulfilling activities.

Jane commented: “Our belief is that a care home should be a truly positive experience, and that our relatives feel every bit of the home as our residents.

“We invest in excellent training so that our long term staff teams are at the heart of delivering high quality care, and we are all very excited about the transformation currently taking place. We are also looking forward to including the local community into our daily life at Churchfields.”

Robin Saunders, a resident’s husband at Churchfields, added: “I visit the home daily and I am genuinely excited with the way Jane is implementing her vision of a wonderful, warm, friendly home. The impact of the improvements has been enormous on all levels.”

Since taking over Rosebank in 2008, Jane and Gerry’s ethos has been to provide outstanding long and short-term care to elderly ladies and gentleman, in a loving, homely, friendly environment; an ethos now extended to Churchfields Care Home.
