On Friday 17th June, an award winning soprano from Norwich, Emma Nuule, performed a concert for residents and visitors to Care Home Open Day event at De Lucy House in Diss.
De Lucy House, operated by Greensleeves Care, embraced this year’s National Care Home Open Day theme of “celebration” by holding a Royal Garden Party for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday.
Whilst everyone enjoyed a Pimms and canape, opera singer Emma Nuule enhanced the occasion with her angelic voice.
One resident, Bridget Kemmis was so impressed with Emma’s performance, she said “Now that’s real singing, isn’t she wonderful”. Being clearly moved by the experience, he added at the end of the performance: “I want Emma to be known for her singing around the world.”
Emma Nuule was really excited to be part of the Care Home Open day and stated “I had a wonderful time and am so delighted with the reception from the residents living at the home.”
Lucy Nicholas, Manager at De Lucy House said: “The party was a great success and a fabulous opportunity for our Home to form links with the local community. It was true reflection of the fantastic work being done all year round.”
