LMcCready and A BollandA care home company specialising in supporting older people with dementia has promoted two of its employees to lead the development of its new home opening in December.

Vida Healthcare, based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, has appointed Lesley McCready and Aaron Bolland to develop services in the fields of residential and nursing dementia care.

Lesley has led a residential care team at Vida Hall since December 2013.  Her caring and thorough approach to caring for older people with dementia has inspired her staff and marked her out as a star of the future.

Arron joined Vida Hall in January 2014 after qualifying as a mental health nurse at Sheffield Hallam University.  Since then he has developed his clinical skills and proven himself as a committed, capable and innovative member of the team.

Under the close mentorship of Healthcare Director Bernadette Mossman, Lesley and Arron will lead the first staff teams at Vida Grange, developing and overseeing the specialist services for the first forty residents who come to live at the new state of the art facility opening in December in Pannal.

The company currently runs Vida Hall, which offers residential, nursing and specialist care for people experiencing periods of distress. It was recently judged as outstanding by regulator the Care Quality Commission, making it the first specialist dementia facility to earn the top rating.

Based on the same principles as Vida Hall, Vida Grange will offer specialist care services for 120 people living with dementia.
