Residents at Woodgate Residential Home in Tonbridge made the most of the long awaited sunshine, by spending a morning potting plants in the garden.
With the sun shining at long last, residents of the Tudeley Lane residential home got together in the courtyard to enjoy some outdoor activities and prepare their garden for the summer months ahead.
Whilst basking in the sunshine, the residents nattered away with one another over a cup of tea, whilst potting their beautiful new plants. The new plants are sure to be a welcome addition to the garden, brightening up the outdoor space ahead of the summer, when the residents will be able to make the most of the gardens.
Leah Gale, activity coordinator at Woodgate commented: “Activities are a huge part of daily life for our residents here at Woodgate and we are always on the look out for new, exciting and interesting things to do.
“In the past few weeks alone, we have visited the local garden centre, baked cupcakes for the Queen’s birthday and an entertainer visited the home to sing classic songs for the residents. Now, with the better weather coming, we’ve enjoyed afternoons out at the pub, making bird feeders and potting plants for the garden. The residents can’t wait for the garden parties and fetes over the summer.”
