TWO thirds of staff at the head office of Orchard Care Homes, based in Hornbeam Park in Harrogate, will go head to head in a team effort this May as they take part in the 5K inflatable race Gung-ho, working hard to raise funds for a charity close to their hearts, the Alzheimer’s Society.
More than 70 staff from across all areas of the business will be donning their lycra and trainers, aiming to raise £5,000 for the charity leading the fight against dementia. Orchard Care Homes is a leading provider of over 100 elderly and specialist care homes across the UK, with its head office based in Harrogate, Yorkshire.
Comments Paul Mancey, Chief Executive; “We’ve certainly taken up the fundraising spirit here at head office, it’s great to see so many of our staff signing up to put themselves through what will surely be an entertaining challenge.
“On a more serious note, many of the residents in our homes are living with dementia, and by taking part in this event, we are hopefully playing a small part in supporting further research and knowledge of this cruel disease.”
The race takes place on Saturday 14th May. To support Orchard Care Homes, please visit www.justgiving.com/Orchard-Care-Homes
